After starting the system, the first thing you see is the Login Screen. The Windows 10 login screen allows the user to click on the user profile and then log in. You can view the list of signed users from the bottom left corner of the login screen. By clicking on the screen, you can easily switch users from one user account to another. Recently, some users reported that they couldn't use the toggle user option, were missing the toggle user option on the login screen, and couldn't access the user profile. And they noticed that they couldn't see their user profile icon, the user account wasn't visible. Fix Can't switch users from Windows 10 Login Screen
Mainly this issue occurs due to disabling Fast User Switching. Fast User Switching allows users to switch between one user account to another. You can enable rapid user switching by using two features built into Windows 10.
A. Fix the Switch User using Windows Group Policy.
1. Press the Windows Key + R simultaneously to open the Run dialog box. Type gpedit.msc and hit Enter from the keyboard to launch the Local Group Policy Editor window.
2. In the Local Group Policy Editor, navigate to the following settings:Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon
3. On the right side of Logon, double-click the policy Hide entry points for Fast User Switching to open its Properties.
4. Select the Disabled option. Click Apply. Click OK.
After you complete the steps above, all user accounts on your computer will show up in the Start menu. You can easily switch from one user account to another.Video:
B. Fix the Switch User via Windows Registry.1. Press Windows Keys + R open the Run dialog box. Type regedit and hit Enter from the keyboard to open up the Registry Editor
2. In the Registry Editor window that opens, navigate to the following key
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
3. On the right side pane of the System key, double click on the HideFastUserSwitching to open its Properties.
4. Change the Value data from 0 to 1. Click OK.
5. Reboot your computer.
After completing the above steps, you can select the account to convert by clicking on the user icon.
